Aizawl, June 3 -- Amid ongoing inclement weather and natural calamities, the Mizoram government has issued a travel advisory requesting central government dignitaries, officials, and representatives from other states to defer any visits to the state until June 13.
The advisory follows a spate of landslides, flash floods, and related disasters that have caused widespread destruction and claimed lives across the state.
The advisory, issued by the state's General Administration Department (GAD), said the decision was taken in the interest of public safety and to allow the government to focus fully on relief and rehabilitation operations.
