Aizawl, June 24 -- The Mizoram government is set to launch biometric registration of over
32,000 Myanmar nationals taking shelter across the state, with the exercise scheduled to begin
in July across all 11 districts.
Home Secretary Vanlalmawia confirmed that preparations are in full swing to capture biometric and demographic data through the Foreigner Identification Portal, developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
"All necessary groundwork has been laid. District-level officers have been trained, and the portal is now ready for use," he said today.
