Aizawl, June 9 -- With a sharp rise in cross-border trafficking of drugs and arms, the Mizoram government has swung into action by forming a high-level Security Coordination Committee to bolster its crackdown on transnational crimes along the Indo-Myanmar and Indo-Bangladesh borders.
Chaired by Chief Minister Lalduhoma, the panel held its first meeting on Monday to empower law enforcement agencies and chalk out a coordinated response to growing threats from smuggling networks, porous borders, and inter-state security challenges.
