Aizawl, Aug. 21 -- In a major step towards shaping the future of sports in Mizoram, the state launched its Grassroots Sports Development Programme (GSDP) to identify and train young
athletes, with an eye on the 2036 Olympics.
The programme, inaugurated by Sports Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar, aims to build a solid
foundation for sports at the grassroots level and prepare future Olympians.
In his address, Minister Lalnghinglova highlighted that the core objective of GSDP is to lay the foundation for sports development at the grassroots level, especially among young children.
