Aizawl, Dec. 18 -- Mizoram has managed to avoid overdrafts in recent years, earned recognition for sound cash management among small states, and made steady progress in digital payments. However, there was need to strengthen e-receipts and adopt new national fund-release systems.

These observations and capacity-building efforts formed the core of a three-day government banking and accounting programme organised by the Reserve Bank of India for finance officers of the government of Mizoram from December 15 to 17.
