Aizawl, Feb. 24 -- Mizoram's distinct constitutional and administrative framework came into focus at a high-level round table conference convened in New Delhi on Tuesday, where the State's Election Commissioner H. Lalthlangliana underscored that Mizoram cannot be assessed on the same yardstick as other parts of the country.
The one-day conference - the first such meeting in 25 years - brought together the Chief Election Commissioner of India, two Election Commissioners and State Election Commissioners from across the country.
Senior officials of the Election Commission of India (ECI), Chief Electoral Officers of various States and senior officers of State Election Commissions also attended the deliberations.
