Aizawl, Feb. 8 -- Mizoram's lone Rajya Sabha member K Vanlalvena has moved the highest constitutional authorities, submitting a representation to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking their intervention to order a comprehensive inquiry into the alleged large-scale corruption in the acquisition of land at Lengpui, near Aizawl.
In his representation, Vanlalvena urged the President and the Prime Minister to direct the Central government to entrust the matter to appropriate central investigative agencies, stressing that the gravity of the allegations warranted an independent and thorough probe.
