Aizawl, March 3 -- Mizoram legislative Assembly on Monday passed "The Mizoram Youth Commission Bill, 2025" introduced in the house by labour, employment, skilled development, and Entrepreneurship (LESDE) Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar, amidst a walkout by all the opposition members.
Opposition members comprising 10 Mizo National Front (MNF), 2 BJP, and 1 Congress legislators staged a walkout infuriated by Chief Minister Lalduhoma's narratives.
The CM criticised the previous governments of Congress and MNF, accusing his predecessors of legislating the Mizoram Youth Commission Act, 2008, and amending the same in 2015 of having ulterior motives for their political gains.
