Aizawl, Feb. 16 -- The district administration of Lawngtlai in south Mizoram on Monday ordered the immediate sealing of the Indo-Myanmar border within its jurisdiction following the death of a 37-year-old resident inside Myanmar, triggering heightened security and restrictions on cross-border movement.
District Magistrate Donny Lalruatsanga issued the order banning the entry of foreigners into Lawngtlai district without valid travel documents and official permission. The directive will remain in force until further notice.
