Aizawl, Feb. 20 -- Mizoram celebrated its 38th Statehood Day on Thursday with statewide mass prayers, underscoring the state's deep-rooted Christian faith.

Organised by the State Day of Prayer Committee, the event saw widespread participation from various church denominations, reflecting the spiritual significance of the occasion.

He lamented that despite past religious revivals, governance and law enforcement challenges persist. "Prisons remain overcrowded, and crime continues. Mizoram needs more than development-it needs transformation through the fulfilment of God's will," he said.
