Aizawl, Dec. 14 -- In a joint operation, the Madhya Pradesh State Tiger Strike Force, Wildlife Crime Control authorities of Madhya Pradesh, the Mizoram Forest Department's Wildlife Crime unit and the Honorary Wildlife Warden of Kolasib district arrested a Mizoram man on Friday in connection with an alleged exotic animal smuggling case.
The accused, identified as Laltlankunga, a resident of Kolasib Venglai Bazar in nothern Mizoram, was arrested at his residence on December 12.
According to Madhya Pradesh Wildlife Crime Range Officer Prankaj Sharma, the arrest was made in connection with a major bust of an illegal exotic animal smuggling racket in Madhya Pradesh.
