Aizawl, Jan. 8 -- As many as 20 corruption-related complaints were registered by the Mizoram Lokayukta during 2024-25, with five cases disposed of and two persons convicted in one case, according to the sixth annual report of the institution.

The report, covering the period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, was presented to Mizoram Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd) on Thursday by Lokayukta chairperson Pu Lalmalsawma in compliance with Section 47 of the Mizoram Lokayukta Act, 2014. The report will be tabled in the Mizoram Assembly.

Out of the 20 complaints registered during the year, six were referred for preliminary inquiry. The Lokayukta received eight preliminary inquiry reports during the period under review.
