Aizawl, May 19 -- Mizoram has recorded 136 confirmed cases of Dengue between January and April this year, though no deaths have been reported during the period, officials from the state's National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) said on Monday.

As many as 2,009 samples were tested for suspected Dengue infections in the first four months of 2025, of which 136 tested positive, the officials said.

They noted that the number of Dengue cases in the state has remained relatively low so far this year compared to 2024, when a total of 744 cases were reported and one death occurred in Aizawl district.
