Aizawl, Jan. 12 -- Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Monday said Mizoram has not faced an overdraft situation since December 2023, crediting sustained fiscal discipline and early corrective measures taken soon after his government assumed office.
Addressing the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM)'s first internal party session for 2026 at the party office, the Chief Minister said that during the seven days at the end of December 2023, the government worked tirelessly to stabilise the state's finances. "Since then, and up to today, the state has not slipped into overdraft," he said.
