Aizawl, March 16 -- Several government middle and upper primary schools in Mizoram continue to operate without students while teachers remain posted, raising concerns over the state's school rationalisation efforts.

According to state School Education Minister Vanlalthlana, five government schools currently have no students but retain teachers, while 21 others have more teachers than students. Additionally, 13 schools have an equal number of students and teachers.
