Aizawl, Oct. 22 -- The Mizoram government has urged the Mizoram Tipper Association (Drivers & Owners), Kolasib District Headquarters, to withdraw its plan to block national highways in protest, warning that such an act would invite strict legal consequences under the laws.

In a statement issued by the Home Department today, the government said it had taken serious note of the association's announcement to impose a blockade along the Vairengte-Sairang, Bairabi-Sairang, and Kawnpui-Durtlang routes from 7:00 a.m. on October 23 to 4:00 p.m. on October 26.
