Aizawl, Sept. 1 -- Mizoram took a significant step towards strengthening scientific crime investigation today as Home Minister K. Sapdanga flagged off 10 mobile forensic vehiclesfrom the Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) at the Mizoram New CapitalComplex.

The vehicles, procured at a cost of Rs 4.818 crore by the Government of India, are specially designed and fully equipped with modern forensic tools.

Sanctioned earlier this year, they were delivered to Mizoram in August 2025. Officials said thenew fleet will enhance crime scene examination capabilities and make forensic support more accessible in the districts.
