Aizawl, Feb. 28 -- Mizoram Horticulture Minister, Prof. Lalnilawma, emphasised the need to produce export-quality wine from locally grown fruits to enhance the state's horticulture sector and uplift farmers.

Speaking at the 27th general conference of the Mizoram Horticulture Service Association (MHSA) in Aizawl on Friday, Lalnilawma highlighted the state government's vision for fruit-based wine production. He stated that the horticulture department is working on multiple proposals to manufacture wine not only for local consumption but also for export to generate higher revenue for cultivators.
