Aizawl, Dec. 1 -- Mizoram on Monday formally acknowledged the Centre's decision declaring the state the 'Ginger Capital of India', with the Mizoram Agricultural Marketing Board (MAMB) expressing its gratitude to NITI Aayog during a review meeting chaired by Chief Minister Lalduhoma at the CM's Conference Hall.

At the meeting, officials discussed various ongoing initiatives and reviewed reports linked to the state's fast-expanding ginger sector.

The declaration followed the Stakeholders' Consultation for Mizoram Ginger Produce held in New Delhi on November 24, jointly organised by the Mizoram government and NITI Aayog.
