Aizawl, Oct. 10 -- Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has called on the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to streamline the process for issuing Restricted Area Permits (RAP) and Protected Area Permits (PAP) to foreign tourists in an effort to increase international visitation to the state.

Speaking on the second day of the Mizoram Travel Fest, he highlighted the potential for boosting tourism, particularly in the state's international border regions.

"Mizoram, sandwiched between Myanmar and Bangladesh with a combined border length of over 700 km, attracts interest from both domestic and international tourists wishing to explore these border areas," Lalduhoma said.
