Aizawl, Oct. 17 -- Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma today laid the foundation stone fora new Working Women's Hostel at Khatla in Aizawl, marking a significant step in the state's ongoing efforts to improve facilities for working women.
The ceremony, held in the state capital, was attended by key government officials and representatives from the Mizo Hmeichhe Tangrual (MHT), the Mizo women's organization behind the initiative.
The Khatla hostel is part of a broader plan to construct seven new hostels across the state under the Central Government's Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) 2024-25 (Part X), with an overall budget allocation of Rs. 127 crore for these projects.
