Aizawl, June 5 -- Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Thursday toured his home district Serchhip to assess the extensive damage caused by relentless monsoon rains that triggered landslides, floods and mudslides across the central part of the state.

Accompanied by district officials and local leaders, Lalduhoma visited Serchhip town, the district headquarters, and also made stops at Thenzawl, Buangpui, and Neihloh villages. During his visit,

he interacted with residents displaced by the calamity and assured them that both the state and central governments would be fully engaged in ensuring timely relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction.
