Aizawl, Aug. 20 -- In a bid to further promote rubber cultivation in the state, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma held a pivotal meeting with the leaders of the Mizoram Rubber Society (MIRSO) today, where a decision was made to expand the Chief Minister's Rubber Mission - 2nd Phase by an additional 173 hectares.

This extension will bring the total area under the mission to 2,400 hectares.

The proposal, presented by MIRSO President Hrangzuala, outlines activities aimed at increasing rubber cultivation in the villages of Mamit District, which borders Tripura and Bangladesh. Farmers in the region have shown strong support for the mission, expressing interest in increasing their participation.
