Aizawl, Oct. 6 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has confirmed that the by-election for the Dampa assembly seat in Mizoram's Mamit district will be held on November 11.
This election, part of the larger electoral calendar, will coincide with the second phase of the Bihar assembly elections and by-polls in seven other states.
The poll body has outlined the election timeline, with the official notification for the Dampa by-election scheduled for October 13. Candidates will have until October 21 to submit their nominations, after which scrutiny of the nomination papers will take place.
