Aizawl, Sept. 23 -- In an ongoing operation launched by the Mizoram government, state officials from the Excise & Narcotics department, in collaboration with Assam Rifles personnel, seized 1.377 kilograms of heroin today near Zokhawthar village in Champhai district, located along the Myanmar border.
The seizure, valued at approximately Rs 40.17 lakh, occurred along the Champhai-Zokhawthar road at around 10:30 am. The heroin was reportedly found in the possession of three individuals-Malsawmkimi (24), Zarzosanga (23), and Joseph Lalmuansanga (25)-all residents of Zotlang locality in Champhai town.
