Aizawl, April 29 -- Fresh hope has emerged for the long-pending proposal to hand over Mizoram's Lengpui Airport to the Airport Authority of India (AAI), as Chief Minister Lalduhoma held a high-level meeting with senior AAI officials at his office here on Tuesday evening.The Chief Minister met Sharad Kumar, Member (Operations), and M Raja Kishore, Regional Executive Director (North Eastern Region), along with other officials from the AAI to discuss the proposed transfer of operational control of the state's lone airport.Lalduhoma said the proposals and efforts to hand over the airport to the AAI had existed for a long time, but had failed to produce the desired outcome.
