Aizawl, Sept. 10 -- The Central Coordination Committee (CCC) of the Young Mizo Association (YMA), the second-highest decision-making body of the central YMA, has called for the Mizoram government to enforce stricter and more systematic regulations for the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system.
The decision was made during a meeting of the CCC today, where the committee set the agenda for the upcoming YMA general conference, or Inkhawmpui Lian, scheduled to take place from October 21 to 23 at Sakawrdai village, near the Manipur border.
Among the primary points discussed, the CCC agreed to urge the state government to streamline the ILP rules and ensure their implementation as outlined under the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, 1873.
