Aizawl, July 29 -- The Central Committee of the Young Mizo Association (CYMA) on Tuesday urged the Mizoram government to take immediate action to prevent a possible influx of people from neighbouring Assam, in light of the ongoing eviction drive in that state.
As the largest and most influential civil society group in Mizoram, with a membership exceeding four lakh both within and outside the state, CYMA expressed concern over the potential consequences of Assam's efforts to remove illegal encroachers from its land.
