Colombo, Feb. 11 -- Australia have been forced into a late change ahead of their opening ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 fixture against Ireland, with captain Mitchell Marsh ruled out after sustaining an injury during training.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC) website, Marsh suffered a direct blow to the groin earlier this week, resulting in internal testicular bleeding. The team management confirmed that he will require rest and rehabilitation before returning to action.
