Bhubaneswar, Sept. 18 -- The Mission Shakti Department of the Odisha Government today signed four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with FICSI, TSSC, GJSCI, and NCW to strengthen self-help group (SHG)-based enterprises.
Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida, speaking on the occasion, said Mission Shakti is committed to creating women-led enterprises at the grassroots level.
She stressed that Odisha's tribal art and traditional skills will be promoted, and the number of "Lakhpati Didis" (women earning over Rs.1 lakh annually) will be expanded across the state.
Parida informed that over Rs.110 crore has been transferred to the accounts of 1,63,757 SHGs to support bank loan repayment.
