Chandauli, Oct. 28 -- A six-year-old girl who had gone missing last evening was found dead amid a heap of straw in a village under the Alinagar police station area in UP's Chandauli district, officials said today.
According to the police, the child was returning home with her grandmother after visiting a relative's house last evening. On the way, her grandmother paused to speak with an acquaintance, during which the girl walked ahead and went missing.
Despite extensive searches by family members and villagers through the night, the girl could not be located. This morning, her body was found concealed in a pile of straw inside a house, about 20 meters from her home.
