Madikeri, April 5 -- A woman from Kerala who went missing during a trek to Tadiandamol has been traced after a four-day search operation, authorities said on Sunday.
Sharanya (36), a native of Nadapuram in Kozhikode district, was located in a forest zone within the Tadiandamol range at around 5.30 pm, officials added. She is reported to have survived on water alone and is now out of danger.
Sharanya had gone missing on April 2 while trekking to Tadiandamol, the highest peak in Kodagu. She was found with the assistance of members of the local Adiya tribal community, who played a key role in tracking her down in a sacred grove area.
Local tribal members Raju, Aiyappa, Subramani and Mani were part of the team that assisted in the rescue. Sh...
