Srinagar, Aug. 22 -- Kashmir's chief cleric and Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq today voiced serious concern over the delay in making public the facts surrounding the recent seizure of large quantities of unsafe meat and related products this month.
"Despite assurances in the media by authorities regarding a thorough investigation into this serious matter, not much is known about its follow-up - who are the people behind it, for how long has it been going on, and have any arrests been made? All this needs to be put in the public domain to address people's concerns and anxiety," Mirwaiz said while addressing the Friday congregation at Jamia mosque in old Srinagar.
