Srinagar, Dec. 19 -- Kashmir's chief cleric and Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday strongly condemned Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the alleged veil-removal incident, asserting that no position of authority or power gives anyone the right to interfere with another person's dignity and self-respect.

The Mirwaiz emphasized that when dignity is violated in public, particularly by someone in authority, it sends a deeply troubling message that power can override ethics and basic human values.
