Rio De Janeiro, Aug. 19 -- Negueba scored a second-half equalizer as Mirassol drew 1-1 at home against Cruzeiro in Brazil's Serie A.

The visitor took the lead in the fifth minute when Kaio Jorge controlled Matheus Pereira's cross before rifling a shot past goalkeeper Walter Artune on Monday.

The 23-year-old former Juventus forward has now scored 14 goals in 19 top-flight fixtures this season.

Negueba put the hosts on level terms just after the hour by cutting inside his marker and curling a shot into the top corner.
