Rio de Janeiro, Dec. 3 -- Carlos Eduardo scored one goal and set up another as Mirassol secured a historic Copa Libertadores group stage berth with a 2-0 away win over Vasco da Gama.
Renato Marques put the visitors ahead with a first-time finish into the far corner after Eduardo's cross from the right wing on the counterattack.
Eduardo put the result beyond in stoppage time when he combined with Cristian Renato and then rounded goalkeeper Leo Jardim to tap the ball into an empty net.
