Kushinagar, Aug. 17 -- A 16-year-old high school student was allegedly murdered with a sharp weapon in the Ramkola area of Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar district on Independence Day, police confirmed on Sunday.
According to officials, the girl, Sanjana, a resident of Kathbarwa village and a student of Janata Inter College, had left home around 7:30 AM on August 15 to attend the Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony. However, she did not return home even by evening, prompting her family to launch a search.
