Bhubaneswar, Feb. 5 -- One two-tier AC coach and two general coaches of the 22611 Chennai-New Jalpaiguri (MAS-NJP) Express train derailed while passing through Jakhapura Yard on Thursday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident, railway officials said.
According to East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources, the minor derailment occurred at about 08:51 hours when the train was moving at very slow speed.
All passengers aboard the affected coaches are safe and have been suitably accommodated. The derailed coaches are being detached for restoration work.
To ensure passenger convenience, additional coaches will be attached to the train at Kharagpur station, ECoR officials said.
