Puri, Jan. 2 -- Hundreds of angry residents staged Rasta Roko agitation by burning tyres at hospital square and gheraoed the Puri headquarters hospital on Friday after a minor boy was killed while two others were injured in a road accident.
According to the sources, Nilakanth Dey of Kumuti Sahi of the town came to Balagandi on a scootty along with his two minor grandsons, Sreyance and Rohit, for breakfast.
While they were going on the scootty, at Balagandi, near Salabega temple, a speeding Bolero dashed against the scootty from behind and dragged the scotty with three, including the deceased Sreyance, to about sixty feet.
When locals shouted, the driver fled. All three were rushed to DHH, where the doctor declared Sreyance brought dead. ...
