Bokaro, Dec. 19 -- A married man, identified as Pramod Kumar Mahto and a father of two, has been accused of kidnapping a minor girl and sexually exploiting her under the false pretext of marriage at a village under the Kasmar police station jurisdiction in Bokaro district.
The matter came to light after the victim's maternal uncle filed a formal written complaint with the Kasmar police.
Police sources said the survivor had been living at her maternal uncle's residence following the death of her mother. She reportedly went missing on November 21, 2024. After an extensive search by her relatives, it was discovered that Mahto, a resident of Lahartand in Manjura, had allegedly lured her away.
