Hyderabad, July 19 -- Telangana Irrigation Minister Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy today conducted a comprehensive review of water availability across major reservoirs and directed officials to draw up a scientific plan for optimal water utilisation during the ongoing Kharif season.
At a high-level meeting held at the Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, the Minister called for real-time, data-driven strategies to ensure no farmer suffers due to water shortage.
He highlighted past coordination between the Irrigation and Agriculture departments that led to a record 281 Lakh Metric Tonnes of paddy and urged officials to maintain the same synergy.
