Chanho, Jan. 27 -- To promote education in Chanho block, Jharkhand's Minister for Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation, and local MLA, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, on Tuesday inaugurated the foundation for new school infrastructure.
At the Sonchipi Scheduled Tribe Residential School, she laid the foundation for a 50-bed boys' hostel and a six-classroom academic building. Additionally, under the DMFT scheme, a ten-classroom extension at Kasturba Gandhi Girls' School was inaugurated.
Speaking at the event, Minister Tirkey highlighted the role of the Congress party in laying the foundation of modern India's education system, including institutions such as Navodaya Vidyalayas, IITs, and IIMs.
