Bengaluru, Dec. 30 -- Unveiling an ambitious, pan-India plan to revolutionise connectivity, Aviation Minister Kanjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu hailed the successful maiden flight of Dhruv-NG, the indigenous next-generation light helicopter, as a historic milestone, a potential game-changer for both civil and defense aviation.

He said, "Our aim is for every district, every village, every island, and the entire northeast to have access to at least one helipod.""Urban mobility is another area where we are looking at electric rotorcraft or eVTOLs.within a few years, these aircraft will transform urban air travel in India," he told reporters, emphasizing the government's focus on futuristic and inclusive aviation.
