Ranchi, July 21 -- Mining tourism is no longer just an idea- it's turning into reality, starting from Jharkhand.
Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation (JTDC) and Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday in Ranchi to jointly promote mine tourism in the state.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Tourism Director Vijaya N. Jadhav, JTDC MD Prem Ranjan, and CCL Director Nilendu Kumar Singh.
The initiative aims to offer guided tours of operational coal mines, giving tourists, students, and researchers a rare look into mining operations, safety systems, and industrial heritage.
