Vijayapura, Feb. 8 -- A private mini aircraft crashed in Karnataka's Vijayapura district on Sunday, but both the pilot and passenger narrowly escaped unharmed, officials said.
The two-seat aircraft, reportedly flying from Kalaburagi to Belagavi, went down in Mangaluru village, located in Babaleshwar Taluk.
According to reports, both occupants were ejected from the aircraft before it hit the ground. The plane broke into three pieces on impact. The duo sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
