Thiruvananthapuram, May 26 -- Scaling up supports to the state's dairy sector, Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), known by its brand name Milma, sharply increased the incentives and welfare payments to the dairy farmers by 79.29 per cent in 2024-25.
In 2024-25, total turnover of Milma stood at Rs 4327 crore with the sale of milk and dairy products improving significantly.
During the financial year, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Malabar regional unions of Milma together provided Rs 225.57 crore to dairy farmers through various welfare schemes, against supports worth Rs 125.81 crore in the previous year. This shows an increase of 79.29 percent in incentives and supports provided to farmers.
