Patna, Feb. 7 -- Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday announced plans to open milk-producing cooperatives in every village of the state and allocate new Sudha milk outlets to women on a priority basis to promote financial independence.

Kumar said on his social media account X that the move is part of the state government's Saat Nischay-3 initiative, aimed at boosting development across sectors over the next five years. He added that 25,593 out of 39,073 villages already have dairy cooperatives, and the remaining villages would be covered within the next two years.
