Khartoum, Feb. 26 -- At least 19 people were killed in a crash of a Sudanese military plane in Sudan's Omdurman, media reported on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, the Alrakoba newspaper reported that a military plane had crashed near Omdurman, killing the crew and officers on board. The Sudanese army later confirmed the crash of the plane.
The Antonov military plane crashed shortly after taking off from the Wadi Seidna airbase, killing 19 people, including both military personnel and civilians, Al Sudani newspaper reported.
The commander of operations in the Bahri region, Bahar Ahmed Bahar, was among the victims, the newspaper reported.
