Chandigarh, Sept. 19 -- Authorities in Jida village intensified efforts to secure a residence following two minor explosions, with the Indian Army and specialized bomb disposal units deployed to safely eliminate hazardous chemical materials.
The house has been cordoned off as teams work to decontaminate the site.
The incident, which occurred on September 10, involved two low intensity blasts at different times during the day, leaving a 19-year-old Gurpreet Singh and his father, Jagtar Singh, injured. Both were promptly admitted to AIIMS, Bathinda, for medical care.
Law enforcement has filed charges related to illegal handling and production of explosive substances.
