Srinagar, Feb. 3 -- An ex-serviceman was shot dead and his wife and daughter were injured by militants in Jammu Kashmir's Kulgam district on Monday.
They said the militants barged into the house of ex-army man Manzoor Ahmed Wagay in the Behibag area and opened fire on the inmates, injuring the three family members including him.
The injured were shifted to a hospital where ex-serviceman Wagay succumbed to his injuries.
The condition of his wife and daughter is stated to be stable.
Soon after the incident security forces cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt to track down the militants responsible for the crime.
